Hotel Lodging

The Iowa House Hotel, Located in the Memorial Union

Lodging will be at the Iowa House Hotel, located on the campus of University of Iowa within the Iowa Memorial Union.

Lodging is provided free of charge both Friday (1/20/23) and Saturday (1/21/23) nights of the Iowa CUWiP. Participants will share a hotel room with a roommate assigned by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Lodging for nights outside of the conference duration is not covered without prior approval from the LOC. Contact Phys-CUWiP@uiowa.edu should you have questions or concerns covering lodging location or duration. 

Parking

Parking is available in the Iowa Memorial Union parking ramp, which is across the street from the Iowa House Hotel / Iowa Memoral Union. The parking ramp is located at 120 N. Madison Street, Iowa City, IA 52242. Parking passes to cover the associated costs are available; contact Phys-CUWiP@uiowa.edu to request a parking pass.

Driving from I-80

  1. Take Exit 244 and turn South on Dubuque St
  2. Follow Dubuque St to South to Market St
  3. Turn right onto Market St
  4. Follow Market St to Madison St
  5. Turn left onto Madison St
  6. Follow Madison St to Jefferson St
  7. Turn right to enter the Iowa Memorial Union parking area

Driving from Highway 218

  1. Follow US 218 to exit 252 B to merge onto I-380 S/IA 27 S/US 218 S towards Iowa City
  2. Take Exit OA to merge onto I-80 E towards Iowa City
  3. Take Exit 244 for Dubuque St towards Downtown
  4. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Iowa City and merge onto N Dubuque St
  5. Turn right at E Market St
  6. Turn left onto N Madison St
  7. Follow Madison St to Jefferson St
  8. Turn right to enter the Iowa Memorial Union parking area

Driving from Highway 6

  1. Follow US 6 to Iowa Ave
  2. Turn East onto Iowa Ave
  3. Follow Iowa Ave to Madison St
  4. Turn left on Madison St
  5. Follow Madison St to Jefferson St
  6. Turn right to enter the Iowa Memorial Union parking area

From the Cedar Rapids Airport

  1. Get on I-380 S from Wright Brother's Blvd W
  2. Take Exit OA to merge onto I-80 E towards Iowa City
  3. Take exit 244 for Dubuque St towards Downtown
  4. Keep right at the fork and merge onto N Dubuque St
  5. Turn right onto E Market St
  6. Turn left onto Madison St
  7. Follow Madison St to Market St
  8. Turn right to enter the Iowa Memorial Union parking area
