Registration for University of Iowa's CUWiP Site
To attend CUWiP at the University of Iowa, you should have received an email on Nov. 16th, 2022 from women@aps.org indicating that you were accepted to our site. This email contains instructions on how to register for that site by the deadline given in the email. You must register by Dec. 8th, 2022 or your acceptance will be void.
Registration requires a $45 fee, which helps offset the cost of the conferences. If your department will not covering the cost and the $45 would cause financial hardship, you may request a fee waiver by following the procedure explained in your acceptance email. Please note that fee waiver requests must be made seven days in advance of the registration deadline.
Cost of Attendance
We aim to make CUWiP accessible to everyone and are committed to minimizing the out-of-pocket cost for all attendees. All meals and accommodations during the conference are provided and the costs covered by the conference itself. Hence, you do not need to book or arrange accommodation on Friday or Saturday night. Travel to and from the conference is usually paid for by your home department. In cases where your own department or other sources can not cover the cost of travel to and from the conference, a small pool of travel funds is available so no one has to miss out on CUWiP for financial reasons. See the "Travel" page for additional details on travel support.
CUWiP Applications Closed
To attend the 2022 CUWiP conference series, applications to the American Physical Society (APS) were required by 5:00pm EST on Monday, October 31st, 2022. We regret that we are not able to accommodate any late applications.
